PETA Targets Diners
PETA is launching its life-size “Hell on Wheels” chicken transport truck in Asia, with the vehicle set to appear outside Texas Chicken in Damansara Utama on Tuesday.
The truck is covered with images of real chickens crammed into crates on their way to slaughter and will play recorded sounds of the birds’ cries, alongside a repeated message encouraging people to go vegan.
PETA said the campaign comes amid the continued spread of bird flu worldwide, noting that at least 86,000 chickens have been killed in Malaysia since 2018.
“Behind every chicken sandwich is a terrified individual who was crammed onto a truck, hauled to a slaughterhouse, and violently killed just to satisfy a fleeting taste of their flesh,” says PETA President Jason Baker. “PETA’s ‘Hell on Wheels’ truck is an appeal to anyone who eats chicken or eggs to remember that these industries are cruel to birds and a threat to public health and that the only kind meal is a vegan one.”
During its regional tour, the truck will distribute thousands of leaflets and make stops across Petaling Jaya and Kuala Lumpur before heading to Singapore, Bangkok and Japan later this year.
Alibaba Debuts Qwen3.6-Plus
Alibaba has unveiled Qwen3.6-Plus, the latest version of its flagship large language model series, designed to support growing enterprise demand for agentic AI.
The company said the new model brings stronger agentic coding, multimodal perception and reasoning, with a focus on helping AI systems move beyond passive assistance to handle complex engineering and real-world visual tasks more autonomously.
Qwen3.6-Plus will be integrated into Alibaba’s ecosystem, including its Wukong AI-native enterprise platform and Qwen App. Alibaba said the model is optimised for a “capability loop” that enables it to perceive, reason and act within a single workflow, while supporting front-end website development, repository-level engineering and visual coding.
The model comes with a one-million-token context window by default and can be accessed through Alibaba Cloud’s Model Studio and Qwen Chat. It is also compatible with third-party coding assistants such as OpenClaw, Claude Code and Cline.

Paydibs, GE Team Up

Paydibs has partnered with Great Eastern General Insurance (Malaysia) Berhad to introduce an embedded business protection solution for MSMEs in Malaysia. Under the collaboration, selected insurance coverage will be bundled with the Paydibs payment terminal, allowing merchants accepting digital payments to also access protection for everyday operational risks.
Paydibs chief executive officer Tee Kean Kang said the partnership reflects the changing role of fintech platforms in helping MSMEs beyond payment services. “We believe the future of merchant enablement lies in building integrated business ecosystems. Payments alone are no longer sufficient. Businesses today need access to stability, protection and tools that help them manage operational risks. By embedding practical insurance protection into our platform, we are bringing together transactions, risk protection and long-term sustainability support for MSMEs.”
Great Eastern General Insurance (Malaysia) Berhad chief executive officer Jeremy Yeap said the tie-up would help make insurance more accessible and relevant for small merchants. “Small businesses are the backbone of Malaysia’s economy, yet many remain underprotected against everyday risks. We are pleased to collaborate with Paydibs that supports merchants in their daily operations. By integrating business protection into the payment experience, we can make insurance more accessible, relevant and convenient for small merchants, helping them operate with greater confidence.
“This partnership reflects our commitment to closing the protection gap and supporting MSMEs with solutions that help them operate with confidence and focus on growth.”
The packaged insurance includes protection against accidental damage to shop premises from incidents such as fire, flood or break-ins, loss of cash in transit or at the outlet, employer-related liabilities, and business disruptions. Paydibs said the move also supports its broader strategy of delivering merchant solutions across payment acceptance, payouts and business financing, while helping reduce barriers to insurance adoption among underserved merchants.
