Further Update on Qatar Airways

Doha, March 5: Qatar Airways has confirmed its flight operations remain temporarily suspended due to the continued closure of Qatari airspace, as disruption ripples across the region.
In an update issued from Doha, the carrier said services will only resume once the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority announces that the airspace has safely reopened. Qatar Airways said it will provide a further update on March 6 by 9:00am Doha time (6:00am UTC).
To support passengers stranded by the situation, Qatar Airways will begin operating a limited number of relief flights from 5 March. The planned services include flights from Muscat to London Heathrow, Berlin, Copenhagen, Madrid, Rome and Amsterdam, as well as a flight from Riyadh to Frankfurt.
The airline urged passengers not to travel to the airport unless they have received official notification from Qatar Airways, noting that affected customers will be contacted directly with assigned flight details, travel arrangements and next steps.
Qatar Airways also advised travellers to ensure their contact details are up to date so the airline can provide flight information and instructions, either via the carrier’s website or mobile app.
“The safety and wellbeing of our passengers and crew remains our highest priority,” the airline said, apologising for the disruption and thanking customers for their patience.
