Sydney, Nov 11: The creators of PianoConvert have officially unveiled GalaxyConvert, a comprehensive suite of AI-powered transcription apps designed to revolutionise how musicians transform sound into sheet music.
The new platform takes the technology behind PianoConvert—which specialised in piano transcription—and expands it to cover a full spectrum of instruments, including vocals, guitar, drums, flute, saxophone, violin, and more. Each app within the GalaxyConvert ecosystem is powered by a custom-trained AI model that recognises the tonal nuances and playing styles unique to its instrument.
Musicians can upload audio files or simply paste a YouTube link to generate professional-quality sheet music in seconds. The technology allows for real-time transcription, giving performers, teachers, and composers a faster and more accurate way to document musical ideas or recreate complex performances.

“In short, what PianoConvert did for piano, GalaxyConvert now makes possible for all musicians, including vocalists, bands, and teachers,” the company said.
I tested the platform and the results were “astonishingly quick,” noting that my favourite song was converted “in real time” with only a YouTube link.
However, while the app is intuitive, having some musical knowledge helps users make the most of its advanced features.
With GalaxyConvert, musicians can now transcribe, edit, and refine performances across multiple instruments with unprecedented precision — a major step forward in AI-driven music technology that bridges creativity and technical innovation.
