Travel Tech Tie-Up

Kuala Lumpur, Oct 8: Betamek Research Sdn Bhd (BRSB), a wholly owned subsidiary of Betamek Berhad, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Pecca Aviation Services Sdn Bhd (PASSB), a 100 per cent owned subsidiary of Pecca Group Berhad, to co-develop next-generation In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) and In-Train Entertainment (ITE) systems for the Asia Pacific market.
The collaboration will combine BRSB’s engineering R&D capabilities in electronics with PASSB’s expertise as a Civil Aviation Authority Malaysia–approved MRO provider for aircraft cabin interiors.
PASSB also supplies seat covers and cabin interior materials and brings engineering design expertise and market access across aviation and other transport sectors.
Under the MOU, BRSB will lead on digital interfaces, entertainment terminals, content management platforms, and software integration tailored to aviation and rail applications. PASSB will integrate these digital infotainment technologies into seating and cabin platforms, ensuring compliance with international aviation and railway standards. The partners will jointly manage prototyping, functional testing, and system validation, leveraging PASSB’s industry network to accelerate market development in Malaysia and across the region.
