City Safari Sydney

Sydney, Oct 8: Set Off on a Citywide Adventure in One of the World’s Most Beautiful Cities!
On a bright December weekend, Sydney turns into a giant Pokémon playground. From 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, December 13–14, 2025, Trainers fan out across the harbour city for Australia’s first-ever Pokémon GO City Safari. With a one-day ticket (AUD$19, incl. taxes/fees) — or an Extra Day Add-On (AUD$14) — you pick a day, shoulder your bag, and let the map guide you from skyline views to secret corners.
Your day starts cityside, where Lure Modules hum for four hours at a time and trades cost half the Stardust. Maybe your Buddy surprises you with a City Safari–exclusive Tiny Compass; maybe you line up a fifth Special Trade just before sunset. Either way, your route keeps pulling you forward — because the GO Stamp Rally is calling.
Seven spots mark the pilgrimage: Darling Harbour, Sydney City Centre, the Royal Botanic Gardens, Circular Quay, Milsons Point, Manly Beach, and Centennial Park. Spin the Photo Discs, press for that perfect imprint, and collect up to eight stamps — each one unlocking an encounter with Eevee in an explorer hat. The stamps are little stories themselves: the longer you press, the more the design shifts, a souvenir of the exact second you were there.
Between stops, event-themed Pokémon spill into the streets. Mudbray — the Donkey Pokémon and a City Safari 2025 exclusive — trots into view, and rumours of Shiny encounters keep everyone’s eyes bright. Down at Darling Harbour, under the Pier Street Underpass near Darling Square, the City Safari booth hands out Pikachu sun visors that bob through the crowd like lemon-yellow buoys.
Raid-hungry? Add the Raid Lover upgrade (AUD$9) for up to 12 daily Raid Passes from Gym spins, bonus raid XP, and extra Candy/Candy XL on catches. Egg-focused? The Egg-thusiast add-on (AUD$9) cuts hatch distance in half and doubles Stardust, XP, and Hatch Candy — a quiet power-up that pays off as you crisscross ferries and foreshore paths. Play one day or both; the add-ons stay live across the whole weekend.
Buying is simple in-app: Map View → Main Menu → Events → “Pokémon GO City Safari: Sydney,” pick your date and add-ons, or gift a ticket to a Great Friend (note: all tickets in one order share the same date/time). Keep the confirmation email; tickets are first-come, first-served and nonrefundable per ToS.
By evening, your journal is smudged with stamps, your visor slightly askew, and Sydney feels both bigger and smaller — a city you crossed step by step, Pokémon by Pokémon, memory by memory.
