Sushi Sushi Expands

Sydney, Aug 27: Sushi Sushi, Australia’s largest premium sushi brand, is making its Middle East debut with an entry into Saudi Arabia through a landmark partnership with KUDU, one of the Kingdom’s leading food companies.
The collaboration marks a significant step in Sushi Sushi’s global growth strategy, with plans to roll out 40 stores across Saudi Arabia by 2035. The first outlets are set to open in Riyadh from October and will feature the brand’s signature Train, Restaurant, and Grab & Go Kiosk formats.
The new locations will showcase Sushi Sushi’s popular Australian menu staples alongside locally inspired dishes tailored for Saudi consumers. All outlets will operate under the Sushi Sushi brand to ensure a consistent, premium dining experience.
Initially, the stores will be company-owned, with franchise opportunities expected to follow as the brand establishes its presence. This approach highlights Sushi Sushi’s long-term commitment to the region and confidence in the country’s fast-growing foodservice sector.
Saudi Arabia’s food market, currently valued at $30.12 billion, continues to see rising demand for high-quality international dining experiences, positioning Sushi Sushi’s entry as a timely move. The partnership with KUDU provides the brand with strong local expertise and market penetration, setting the stage for further expansion across the Middle East.
KUDU Chairman Rakan Al-Rashed and Sushi Sushi CEO Stephen Anders both underscored the significance of the collaboration, highlighting its potential to introduce premium sushi to a new market while blending Australian culinary expertise with local insights.
