Sydney, Aug 25: Australia Post has launched a nationwide recruitment drive to fill more than 3,500 seasonal positions ahead of what is expected to be another record-breaking Christmas.
The postal service is seeking forklift operators, van and truck drivers, and parcel sorters to help manage the surge in demand brought on by upcoming cyber sales and the holiday season. The highest demand for new workers is in New South Wales, Victoria, and Queensland.
Last year, Australia Post delivered nearly 103 million parcels during the Christmas period, with seasonal workers playing a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries. Many of this year’s roles require no prior experience, providing an opportunity for people to earn additional income while contributing to a busy national operation.

The organisation, which employs people from 143 nationalities, highlights that seasonal jobs may also lead to ongoing career opportunities beyond the festive rush.
