Sydney, July 14: Sydney will once again play host to Australia’s largest celebration of French culture when the Bastille Festival returns to Circular Quay and The Rocks from Thursday, 17 July to Sunday, 20 July 2025.
Coinciding with Bastille Day week, the four-day festival promises to transform the harbourfront into a Parisian-style winter playground with more than 150 stalls featuring French food, wine, and artisan goods.
Visitors can expect French classics such as raclette, escargot, cheese wheels, crepes, and macarons at the French Village Markets, alongside free entertainment including cancan dancers, fire shows, jazz bands, and roving performers. Cabaret nights and DJ parties will bring the Quay to life after dark.
While general entry is free, ticketed experiences are available. These include the Wine Passport (from $49), a self-guided tasting journey through eight French wine regions, and the Fire Pit Cinema (from $35), offering outdoor French film screenings with mulled wine and marshmallows.
“Bastille Festival 2025 is bigger than ever, with more food, more wine, more culture. It’s a true celebration of joie de vivre, right here on Sydney Harbour,” said Vincent Hernandez, Founder and Festival Director.
