I recently got exclusive access to review the EPOS ADAPT E1 before it was officially launched and sold in Australia and New Zealand. It is quite different from the previous EPOS hearing devices I have reviewed, as this one is much smaller and comes with a USB-C adapter that can be plugged into laptops or even desktop computers.
For tablets and phones, it is recommended to use direct Bluetooth pairing without the dongle, as using the USB-C connection may lead to inconsistent performance. Pairing with this device was effortless, and the connection was established quickly, making it incredibly convenient to use.

Design and Comfort
One of the standout features of the ADAPT E1 is its lightweight and comfortable fit. The device is designed using EPOS IntelligentFit technology, which is based on over half a million ear scans to ensure maximum comfort. It comes with four sizes of silicone ear tips (XS, S, M, L), allowing users to find the perfect fit for long-term wear.
Seamless Connectivity and Controls
Unlike other Bluetooth earbuds I’ve tried, this one connects instantly, thanks to its multi-point Bluetooth connectivity and the included BTD 900c dongle. The stable 20-meter wireless range ensures an uninterrupted connection, whether paired with a phone, tablet, or laptop.
There’s also a simple button control that allows you to pause audio or manage calls with ease. The active noise cancellation (ANC) does a great job of blocking out background noise, while the ambient mode lets in necessary sounds when needed.

Audio Quality and Performance
The ADAPT E1 offers excellent sound quality, making it suitable for both professional calls and casual music listening. The hybrid ANC and semi-open acoustic design prevent the blocked-ear sensation, making conversations feel more natural. The AAC and SBC codecs enhance the audio experience, ensuring clarity whether you’re on a call or streaming your favourite songs.

Battery Life and Charging
Battery life is impressive, providing up to 50 hours with the charging case and 14 hours on a single charge. A quick 5-minute charge gives an additional hour of listening time, and the case supports both USB-C and wireless charging, making it convenient to power up on the go.

Final Thoughts
I don’t have any complaints about the entire thing. It’s simple to use, compact, and offers great audio performance. I received the beige version, which looks sleek, and it comes in two color options. For the price point, I would say it is absolutely worth it. The EPOS ADAPT E1 delivers in every aspect—sound quality, comfort, battery life, and ease of use. I would highly recommend it.
