Kuala Lumpur, Feb 12: BLACKMORES Malaysia has officially obtained JAKIM Halal Certification, making it the first Australian-manufactured finished goods brand to achieve this recognition.
The milestone reinforces the company’s dedication to ethical sourcing, transparency, and sustainable manufacturing, strengthening consumer trust across diverse markets.
The certification was presented at a ceremony held at the Connexion Conference & Event Centre, Bangsar South. Mohd Dhaliff Ghaus Mohd Anuar, Head of Halal Consultancy & Advisory at Halal Development Corporation Berhad (HDC), handed the certificate to BLACKMORES Malaysia & Singapore Country Manager Kumaran Chandrasergaran.
Australian High Commissioner to Malaysia, Her Excellency Danielle Heinecke, was also present to mark the occasion.
“For us, this Halal certification is not just about compliance; it’s a commitment to transparency, ethical sourcing, and integrity in every aspect of our business—from ingredients to packaging,” Chandrasergaran said.
The certification reflects BLACKMORES’ adherence to strict safety protocols, sustainable practices, and ethical labour standards.
It also highlights the company’s long-term vision of providing high-quality, natural healthcare solutions to a growing market.
“This milestone reflects the strength of the Australia-Malaysia relationship, showcasing how Australian innovation and commitment to quality align with Malaysia’s values and standards,” said Heinecke.
With the rising demand for Halal-certified products in Malaysia, BLACKMORES views the certification as a strategic step in expanding its market presence while reinforcing its leadership in the wellness industry.
The company has also been recognised as a Platinum Trusted Brand, securing the title for 10 consecutive years.
