Ipoh, Feb 7: SSF Home Group Berhad (“SSF”), a leading retailer in furniture and home décor, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Rumah Ibu Sdn Bhd (“Rumah Ibu”), marking a significant step in improving access to affordable housing in Perak.
The agreement, which was followed by a groundbreaking ceremony, aims to support homeownership under the Rumah Ibu Scheme, benefiting at least 35,000 landowners in the Rancangan Perkampungan Tersusun (RPT) Negeri Perak.
Under the collaboration, SSF will supply kitchen cabinets and furniture vouchers to new homeowners under the scheme.
Depending on the house model, kitchen cabinets valued between RM1,500 and RM5,000 will be provided, along with furniture vouchers worth up to RM5,500.
The initiative ensures that new homeowners receive quality furnishings without incurring additional upfront costs.
Rumah Ibu Sdn Bhd will procure the furnishings directly from SSF, integrating them into the overall sales package, with payments made upon successful delivery and installation.
This structure simplifies the homeownership process while enhancing accessibility to affordable furnishing solutions.
The initiative aligns with SSF Home’s mission to make home living solutions more accessible and complements the government’s efforts to expand homeownership opportunities.
Through this collaboration with Rumah Ibu Sdn Bhd and the State Government of Perak, SSF is strengthening its role in the affordable housing segment, ensuring that homeowners can create comfortable, well-furnished living spaces.

This collaboration reflects SSF’s ongoing commitment to supporting national housing initiatives while strengthening its presence in the affordable housing market.
