London Jan 22: FSL, the Web3 development studio behind the popular STEPN app, has unveiled GMT Pay, a groundbreaking payment solution enabling users to convert digital earnings into real-world spending.
The app, which integrates with STEPN GO and other FSL products, marks a significant step in making Web3 accessible to a global audience.
The platform bridges the gap between digital assets and everyday transactions, allowing users to seamlessly spend their GMT and GGT earnings. Ahead of its public rollout, the waitlist for GMT Pay is now open, offering priority access to users.
GMT Pay introduces the GMT Giftcard, a virtual Mastercard available in denominations of $50, $100, $200, and $300.
The card is accepted by millions of merchants worldwide, enabling users to shop online, pay for subscriptions like Spotify, or even buy a coffee at a local café. The card is also compatible with Apple Pay and Google Pay for secure mobile payments.
“Three years ago, the idea of a Web3 payments app felt like a distant dream,” said Yawn Rong, Co-Founder of FSL. “Today, it’s a reality. You can go for a run with STEPN GO, earn rewards, download GMT Pay, and seamlessly use your earnings to make real-world purchases.”
Designed for global accessibility, GMT Pay aims to make Web3 practical for users across various regions.
While certain restrictions may apply, the app represents a major milestone in integrating blockchain technology into everyday life.
Shiti Manghani, CEO of FSL, added, “GMT Pay is the next step in empowering users to bring Web3 into their everyday lives. From fitness enthusiasts earning on STEPN GO to shoppers looking for global convenience, GMT Pay makes digital earnings useful in ways we couldn’t imagine just a few years ago.”
