Betamek Berhad and Perodua showcased advanced telematics solutions at the Daihatsu Motor Co. exhibition in Osaka, Japan. The telematics system, co-developed with Perodua, offers OTA updates, remote vehicle control, real-time tracking, geofencing, and smart charging management for electric vehicles.
“Our telematics solutions provide vehicle owners with unprecedented control and connectivity,” said Encik Muhammad Fauzi Bin Abd Ghani, Executive Director of Betamek.
The system enhances safety through collision alerts and an E-Call system that notifies emergency services and family members. Betamek aims to set new standards in automotive technology and connectivity with Perodua through this collaboration.
FedEx Names New VP

FedEx has appointed Bianca Wong as the new Regional Vice President for Southeast Asia, succeeding Audrey Cheong, who now leads FedEx China.
With over 22 years of experience in HR and business roles, Wong will manage operations across the region, overseeing a team of more than 4,000 members.
“I am honoured to take on this new challenge and to continue transforming FedEx for what’s next by driving our growth and commercial success,” said Wong.

Sarawak Tourism Board (STB) signed a Tripartite Campaign Agreement with Scoot and Sarawak Trade and Tourism Office (STATOS) to enhance global connectivity and position Sarawak as a top bleisure destination.
The partnership increases Scoot’s flights to Sarawak to 14 weekly, boosting inbound travel and promoting cultural and adventure tourism.
STB hosted the Sarawak Bleisure Networking Session to foster collaborations and showcase the region’s offerings for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE).
With Sarawak targeting four million visitors in 2024, these initiatives aim to strengthen ties with Singapore and align with sustainable tourism trends.
