Yesterday, I had the chance to revisit Dental Boutique, this time at their new Chatswood branch, where I received a thorough dental clean.
My last visit with them was in January, and by then, plaque had built up along the lower part of my teeth.
This time, Dr. Cigdem Kipel didn’t handle my treatment.

Instead, I was treated by Dr. Christopher Nou, who has six years of experience as a dentist.
Although I arrived 15 minutes late, the clinic staff were understanding.
“Don’t worry, we understand what Sydney traffic is like,” Rach, the friendly receptionist, reassured me over the phone.
To avoid the stress of parking (and unexpected parking costs), I opted for public transport.
After a bus and train ride, I arrived safely. If you’re visiting, public transport is the easiest option.
From Chatswood train station, just turn left, then another left (you’ll pass Krispy Kreme on your right).

Head up the escalator, cross the road at the 7-Eleven, take a left, and walk straight until you spot the 501 building on the right—it’s hard to miss.
The clinic is huge, and the lower floor is still under construction.
I was told that this branch opened its doors in April, which explains the fresh vibe.
This location felt more spacious than their Castlereagh Street branch in the city, with a calming, spa-like atmosphere.

Though the fittings were familiar, this branch had extra amenities, including additional toilets, a sterilization room, and a large staff area with a balcony and a washing machine to launder the blankets provided to clients who feel chilly during treatments.
Dr. Nou gave me a quick tour before we started the cleaning, also known as scaling.
This process removes plaque build-up, and since my last visit in January, some yellow plaque had returned along the lower part of my teeth.
With help from Dorsa, his assistant, the entire cleaning took just 20 minutes.

During the procedure, I watched Friends on the ceiling-mounted TV, complete with subtitles.
The distraction made the experience much more comfortable, and the usual discomfort of scaling barely registered.
Throughout the session, Dr. Nou praised me for being a cooperative patient.
I made a conscious effort to be calm and easy-going, knowing I was late and aware he had another appointment at 11 a.m.
I wanted to help ensure the session went smoothly and quickly.

After the cleaning, I had ten minutes left with Dr. Nou, who kindly gave me a free consultation.
He offered tips on improving my dental care and encouraged me to floss more regularly—a habit I plan to stick with going forward.
Before leaving, I took a few photos of the clinic to capture the experience.
Overall, my visit to Dental Boutique Chatswood was pleasant and stress-free.
