Northern Pictures Wins Two Emmys

Sydney, Sept 10: Australian production company Northern Pictures has secured two Primetime Emmy Awards for Love On The Spectrum U.S. at the 76th Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards held in Los Angeles.
The series, made by the same Australian team behind the original Love On The Spectrum in Australia, was co-created by Karina Holden and Cian O’Clery.
Northern Pictures received Emmys for Outstanding Casting for a Reality Program and Outstanding Directing for a Reality Program.
The Outstanding Casting award was presented to Northern Pictures for Netflix, with winners including Cian O’Clery, Sean Bowman, Marina Nieto Ritger, and Emma Choate. Other nominees in the category were RuPaul’s Drag Race, Squid Game: The Challenge, The Amazing Race, and The Golden Bachelor.
Cian O’Clery also won the award for Outstanding Directing for a Reality Program, beating nominees from RuPaul’s Drag Race, Squid Game: The Challenge, The Traitors, and Welcome to Wrexham.
The team was also nominated for Outstanding Picture Editing for an Unstructured Reality Program and Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program for Love On The Spectrum U.S..
This year’s wins bring the total Emmy count for the series to five, including the 2022 awards for Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program, Outstanding Picture Editing for an Unstructured Reality Program, and Outstanding Casting for a Reality Program.
Both seasons of Love On The Spectrum U.S. are available to watch on Netflix, with a third season currently in production.
