Sony Hosts Imaging Tradeshow

Sony will host its first-ever Scene Tradeshow on September 28-29, 2024, at the White Bay Power Station in Rozelle, Sydney.
The event will feature guest speakers, product showcases, interactive zones, and hands-on experiences with Sony’s digital imaging products, including the latest cameras and lenses.
Open to the public, the tradeshow caters to camera enthusiasts, professionals, and business owners in photography, filmmaking, and content creation.
Attendees can also enjoy workshops, masterclasses, and special trade show pricing on Sony products.
Tokyo Lights Festival Announced

The Tokyo Lights 2024 festival, running from September 14-16, 2024, at Meiji Memorial Picture Gallery and Rubber-ball Baseball Ground, will feature immersive light displays and entertainment, including an international projection mapping competition and performances by VTuber group “AYAKAKI” from NIJISANJI.
The event will showcase cutting-edge technology, including a drone light show and various interactive light installations.
Admission is free with advance registration, with additional paid seating available for the competition viewing area. Another edition of the festival is planned for November 2024.
World Square Mooncake Celebration

World Square invites the community to celebrate the Mooncake Festival from September 17th to 29th. This annual tradition, also known as the Mid-Autumn Festival, highlights cultural diversity through performances, lantern parades, and a free Asian film festival featuring beloved films like Crazy Rich Asians and My Neighbour Totoro.
Visitors can enjoy dragon dances, live music, and a giveaway of 1,000 limited-edition gift boxes.
Mooncakes will be distributed throughout the event, honoring the festival’s focus on unity and reunion.
Cremorne Tech Week Announced
Cremorne Digital Hub (CDH) will host its first Tech Week from October 28th to 31st, showcasing Victoria’s growing digital ecosystem.
The event features over 20 sessions focused on AI, cybersecurity, sustainability, and more. Speakers include industry leaders from Carsales, SEEK, and Unilever, as well as Indigenous tech founders and female entrepreneurs.
Highlights include the CDH Community Challenge, Tech Week Walking Tours, and the Australia 4.0 event. Backed by the Victorian Government and several educational institutions, Tech Week aims to connect innovators, drive investment, and inspire technological growth in Victoria.
Sister Pitch Returns 2024
Global Sisters has announced the return of Sister Pitch 2024, in partnership with dentsu, providing women-led businesses the chance to pitch to industry leaders, investors, and philanthropists.
The event aims to empower female entrepreneurs by offering them opportunities for funding, distribution deals, and business partnerships.
Taking place on September 19, Sister Pitch will showcase twelve diverse women-led ventures, promoting economic security and addressing systemic barriers to women’s participation in business.

Comedy’s Prophet Returns

Daniel Muggleton, Australian comedy’s foul-mouthed prophet, is embarking on an extended national tour from October to December 2024, following a breakout 2023.

Gozney’s Proof Supper Club Returns

Gozney’s Proof Supper Club is back on November 14, 2024, and it promises to be one of the most exciting food events in Sydney this year.
Collaborating with renowned chef Analiese Gregory, known for her work at Quay and her seasonal, farm-to-table approach in Tasmania, the event will feature a multi-course dining experience, wine pairings, and hands-on pizza making at a secret Sydney location.
The event will feature live-fire outdoor cooking, immersive culinary demos, and exclusive moments with Gregory.

FOMA Celebrates Global Talent

Fabrics of Modern Australia (FOMA) will host a cultural fashion showcase on 12 October 2024 at Sydney Observatory, featuring First Nations, local, and international designers.
The event is part of a week-long program from 11-17 October, with a special exhibit, “Threads of Identity,” in collaboration with the NSW Government and South by Southwest.
Supported by the Fiji Consulate and DFAT, FOMA will also launch an awards program for outstanding designers, with winners to be announced in 2025.
The event highlights the fashion industry’s economic contribution, generating $27.2 billion annually.
Fitness Expo Returns October
The AusFitness Expo, Australia’s largest fitness festival, will return to Sydney from October 11 to 13 at the International Convention Centre. The event will feature world-class fitness demonstrations, sporting competitions, and wellness experiences, including free workouts with bodybuilding icons Calum Von Moger and Jeff Seid.

Haunted Halloween Party Unveiled
Sydney, Sept 24: From 31 October to 2 November 2024, the Old Merchant House, one of The Rocks’ most haunted locations, will host the Ghost Festivals House of Horrors DJ Party.
This immersive Halloween event will transform the four-level heritage-listed building into a supernatural playground with themed rooms such as the Ghost Room, Vampire Den, Abandoned Hospital, and Slaughterhouse.
Guests will experience interactive performances, chilling beats from DJs, and eerie encounters throughout the night.
The WeLove collective will take over on Saturday, delivering a fusion of electro techno, R&B, and tech house for a night of spine-chilling fun.
Climb Sydney Harbour with NRL Legends

Sydney, Sept 26: BridgeClimb Sydney has partnered with the NRL for a special ‘Climb with an NRL Legend’ event from October 2 to 4.
Fans can ascend the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge with rugby legends like Bryan Fletcher and Apisai Koroisau, with only 13 spots available per climb.
All proceeds from the $399 adult and $199 child tickets will support the NRL’s State of Mind mental health program.
Participants will receive a photo with the legends, a commemorative certificate, and more. The celebration continues at the NRL Fan Fest in The Rocks after the climb.
Coldplay Releases Extra Tickets for Australia & NZ Tour
Sydney, Sept 30: Coldplay has released a limited number of additional tickets for their Music of the Spheres World Tour in Australia and New Zealand, due to overwhelming demand.
The band will perform four shows in Melbourne and Sydney, and three in Auckland in October and November 2024.
Support acts include Ayra Starr, Shone, and Emmanuel Kelly.
Coldplay’s tour has sold over 10 million tickets globally and reduced CO2 emissions by 59 per cent compared to their 2016/17 tour.

Cosmoverse Heads to Dubai
Dubai, Sept 30: Cosmoverse, the largest interchain conference, will take place in Dubai from October 21-27, 2024, focusing on blockchain innovation and the Cosmos-SDK ecosystem. The event will introduce new tracks on AI, tokenization, EVM, and more, attracting over 2,000 attendees. Cosmoverse 2024 aims to foster a multichain future with top industry speakers and exclusive VC opportunities. Paddy’s Spookfest Returns

Sydney, Sept 30: Paddy’s Market is hosting its free Spookfest event at Haymarket and Flemington on October 25th, 26th, 27th, and November 1st, 2nd, 3rd.
Visitors can enjoy Halloween-themed street performances, face painting, and family-friendly activities, including shopping for costumes and pumpkins.
