Singapore, Sept 1: Check Point® Software Technologies Ltd. has appointed Ruma Balasubramanian as the new President for the Asia Pacific & Japan (APAC) region. Ruma takes over from Sharat Sinha, who left earlier this year for a new role in the industry.
In her new role, Ruma will lead Check Point’s business across APAC, working closely with sales, marketing, product engineering, and customer success teams to drive growth through strategic partnerships and AI-powered security solutions.
Ruma brings a wealth of experience from her recent leadership roles at Google Cloud and Cisco, where she specialized in scaling technology solutions and driving market expansion across the APAC region. Her global background, including roles at Hewlett Packard Enterprise Services, AT Kearney, and IBM, equips her to advance Check Point’s mission of delivering cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions tailored to the diverse needs of the APAC market.
In addition to her professional achievements, Ruma is a passionate advocate for building inclusive teams and empowering women in technology.
She also serves as an Independent Director for RightShip, where she chairs the Digital Transformation and Cyber Security Committee.
