Zurich, Aug 19: Swiss deep tech startup Apheros has secured $1.85 million in pre-seed funding to advance its cutting-edge cooling solutions for data centers and high-power computing.
The funding round, led by venture capital firm Founderful, will accelerate the development and deployment of Apheros’ innovative metal foam technology, designed to enhance thermal management in critical applications.
Founded last Aug as a spin-off from ETH Zurich, Apheros specializes in thermal management and is pioneering the use of metal foams that significantly outperform traditional cooling methods.
These metal foams maximize heat dissipation and fluid flow while reducing energy consumption, addressing some of the most pressing challenges in the cooling industry.
Apheros’ unique manufacturing process creates metal foams with completely open porosity and an exceptional surface area, resulting in superior heat transfer and flow properties.
This makes them ideal for high-performance cooling applications and easily integrable into existing cooling systems.
