Sydney, June 1: Ticketek Australia has announced a cyber incident affecting account holder information stored on a cloud-based platform managed by a global third-party supplier.
The company reassures customers that all passwords are securely encrypted and have not been compromised.
Additionally, Ticketek confirms that credit card information remains secure as transactions are processed through an unaffected separate payment system. Importantly, Ticketek does not store customer identity documents.
Upon discovering the incident, Ticketek immediately initiated an investigation, working diligently over the past few days to understand the scope and communicate with affected customers promptly.

The company has also notified the Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) and is collaborating with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) and the National Office of Cyber Security regarding the incident.
In an email to all of its affected customers, the company said that current evidence suggests that customers’ names, dates of birth, and email addresses may have been affected by the incident.
As such, Ticketek apologizes sincerely to those impacted and advises customers to review cyber security guidance to protect their information and mitigate potential misuse risks
