San Francisco, May 14: Anthropos, a startup co-founded by Stefano Bellasio and Giacomo Marinangeli, has successfully secured $2.7 million in a pre-seed funding round to address the pressing issues of talent shortage and skills development in the workforce.
This round was led by Switzerland-based Founderful, with contributions from Eden Ventures, Exor Ventures, Zanichelli Venture, Alessandro Rivetti, and several angel investors from the EU and the US.
The funding will enhance Anthropos’ innovative platform designed to align employee skill development with business needs, improving both employee retention and organizational efficiency. The platform allows companies to centralize skills, employee experiences, and training resources, facilitating personalized career paths within the organization.
Stefano Bellasio, CEO of Anthropos, highlighted the critical need for such solutions in today’s business environment.
“People want to see a clear path to grow in their organization and learn the exact skills they need to succeed there. At the same time, you can’t run your business without modern skills and a solution to constantly understand what your people can and cannot do. It’s a problem that is intensifying across all industries and it will get even more important as people need to adopt AI and make it part of their daily job,” he said.
After selling their previous venture, Cloud Academy Inc, Bellasio and Marinangeli founded Anthropos to focus on aiding corporations with ongoing challenges in employee retention and skills development. Anthropos not only verifies soft and technical skills throughout the employee lifecycle but also integrates AI Job Simulations that immerse candidates in real-life scenarios to assess their competencies effectively.
