Sydney, May 3: CoinFlip, a leading digital currency platform, has announced its brand realignment across Australia and New Zealand, transitioning its Olliv kiosks to the globally recognized CoinFlip brand, commonly known as ‘Bitcoin ATMs’.
This strategic move follows CoinFlip’s acquisition of Layer 8 Networks in 2022, spearheaded by Australian tech pioneers Ben Brockliss and Matthew Pook.
Today, CoinFlip boasts nearly 700 kiosks in the region, with growth rates hitting 40 per cent in Australia and 200 per cent in New Zealand by the end of 2023.
“There has been a considerable increase in consumer demand and interest in a simple, safe, and convenient way to buy crypto. In fact, we’ve witnessed a surge in our machine usage since entering Australia and New Zealand, with new users growing 396 per cent and 88 per cent respectively,” said Ben Brockliss, Vice President of Australia and New Zealand at CoinFlip. The recent Bitcoin ‘Halving’ has further spurred interest and investment in digital currencies.

“In our initial launch of Olliv in 2022, we saw excitement and strong adoption making Australia and New Zealand ideal markets for further expansion,” Brockliss commented.
“We are excited to introduce the CoinFlip brand to our loyal customers and provide them with enhanced access to the digital economy. Our rebranded kiosks are just the beginning of our journey in these regions. We aim to play a pivotal role in fostering crypto innovation and adoption and becoming a resource for anyone looking to purchase digital assets,” he added.
Founded in 2015 and headquartered in the United States, CoinFlip operates a global network of more than 5,000 digital currency kiosks.
The company is committed to making digital currencies accessible, fostering a more inclusive and stable global financial system.
The transition to the CoinFlip brand will be completed by the end of May, continuing to offer high-quality service and 24/7 customer support.
