Korean Air Launches Seasonal Charter Flights to Taichung

Korean Air has announced the introduction of seasonal charter flights between Seoul Incheon and Taichung, Taiwan, running from May 2 to June 29.
These services will operate three times weekly—Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The Seoul Incheon to Taichung flight, KE189, is scheduled to depart at 3:30 pm and arrive at 5:15 pm.
The return flight, KE190, will leave Taichung at 6:50 pm, arriving in Seoul Incheon at 10:40 pm. All times are local.
The route will utilize a Boeing 737-8, offering 146 seats including eight in Prestige class and 138 in economy. Bookings are available through Korean Air’s website, mobile app, and travel agencies.
Taichung, Taiwan’s second-largest city, is gaining popularity among travelers, especially for attractions like the Gaomei Wetlands, Sun Moon Lake, and Fengjia Night Market.
This new service expands Korean Air’s offerings to Taiwan, totaling 24 round trip flights per week to the region, and aims to provide more convenient travel options to this emerging destination.
Malaysia-India Flight Pact Signed

Malaysia Airlines and IndiGo have entered into a codeshare and mutual cooperation Memorandum of Understanding to enhance connectivity between Malaysia and India.
This partnership will expand travel options for customers of both airlines, offering seamless itineraries and access to a broader network of destinations in Southeast Asia and India.
The collaboration aims to provide a superior travel experience, underscored by the commitment to customer satisfaction and cultural exchange.
Malaysia Airlines currently serves 71 weekly flights to nine major Indian cities, with further information available on their website and through the Malaysia Airlines app.
BA Expands Pilot Training

British Airways is set to open applications for the second year of its Speedbird Pilot Academy cadet scheme on April 16, 2024, after its inaugural year attracted over 20,000 applications for just 100 spots. Aimed at making pilot careers accessible to all, the scheme is part of a £7 billion company investment, covering the full £100,000 training cost for successful applicants.
Simon Cheadle, Director of Flight Operations, highlighted the program’s role in nurturing future flying talent by removing financial barriers to entry.
Applications for up to 100 places will be available on the British Airways careers site.
