Liquid I.V. Hydrates Australia

Sydney, April 2: Liquid I.V.®, the top-ranked powdered hydration brand in the United States, has initiated local manufacturing in Australia to cater to the increasing demand for hydration solutions.
This strategic move coincides with the brand’s entry into the Australian market, introducing its Hydration Multiplier, a scientifically developed electrolyte drink mix renowned in the U.S. for its efficacy.
Liquid I.V.® aims to leverage Australia’s robust sports drink market and the country’s focus on wellness, following successful expansions into Canada in 2023 and the United Kingdom and Australia in the recent week.
Anusha Babbar, Unilever Global Vice President of Health & Wellbeing, expressed enthusiasm about introducing Liquid I.V.® to Australia, emphasizing the alignment with Australia’s wellness-oriented lifestyle.
New studies highlight a significant hydration gap among Australians, with many acknowledging the importance of hydration but failing to consume the recommended daily water intake.
Liquid I.V.® is positioned as a solution to overcome common hydration barriers, offering a convenient, effective way to stay hydrated, especially for the active Australian lifestyle.
Unilever Australia & New Zealand’s Health & Wellbeing Lead, Clare Standing, underscored the challenges Australians face in maintaining hydration and how Liquid I.V.®’s formula, rich in vitamins and electrolytes, is designed to enhance hydration more efficiently than water alone.
The product is now locally produced, a first outside of North America, in collaboration with Chemist Warehouse, leveraging Australian manufacturing capabilities and Unilever’s global research and development expertise.
Since Unilever’s acquisition of Liquid I.V.® in 2020, the brand has seen substantial growth, now introducing its Hydration Multiplier in Australia, available at Chemist Warehouse.
This launch marks Unilever’s Health & Wellbeing Collective’s debut in the Australian market, highlighting health and wellbeing as a significant growth area for Unilever.
