TransNusa Expands Tourism Reach

Jakarta, April 1: In a move aimed at bolstering both domestic and international tourism, TransNusa has announced the launch of five new direct domestic flights.
This expansion marks a strategic alignment with the Indonesian Government’s initiative to enhance air connectivity within key tourism destinations.
Among the notable additions is the introduction of the first-ever direct flight from Bali to the renowned diving destination of Manado.
This initiative underscores TransNusa’s commitment to providing seamless travel experiences to passengers, capitalizing on the natural allure of Indonesia’s diverse landscapes.
The new routes encompass connectivity to Manado, Sorong, Ambon, and Timika, facilitating access to iconic destinations such as Raja Ampat, Sorong; Ambon, known as the “Island of Spices”; and Timika, home to the towering Jaya Wijaya mountain.
Datuk Bernard Francis, CEO of TransNusa Group, emphasized the airline’s role in supporting the Indonesian Government’s tourism development agenda.

“Increasing air connectivity within tourism destinations is pivotal to advancing national tourism performance,” he stated.
“Our focus on high-potential destinations aims to amplify domestic and foreign tourism spending, leveraging Indonesia’s rich natural heritage.”
TransNusa’s pioneering spirit is evident in its launch of the world’s first direct flight between Bali and Manado, offering travelers unprecedented convenience.
The airline’s flight schedule, commencing on April 2, will operate three times weekly, enhancing accessibility between these two legendary destinations.

Additionally, TransNusa’s flight routes from Manado to Sorong, Ambon, and Timika further underscore the airline’s commitment to promoting lesser-known gems within Indonesia.
With Raja Ampat touted as a marine biodiversity hotspot and Ambon celebrated for its pristine beaches and natural landscapes, these flights are poised to unlock new tourism potentials.
The strategic expansion aligns with TransNusa’s broader vision since the injection of new shareholders and management in 2022.
The airline’s transformation into a Premium Service Carrier has enabled it to introduce innovative strategies and aggressively pursue new routes.
Notably, TransNusa has recently expanded its international footprint, launching flights to China and Malaysia, signaling its emergence as a key player in the region’s aviation sector.
The commencement of ticket sales for the new routes last week, coupled with the upcoming flight operations between April 1 and April 19, underscores TransNusa’s proactive approach in catering to evolving travel demands.
As travelers seek immersive experiences in nature and culture, TransNusa’s expanded flight network promises to unlock the full potential of Indonesia’s tourism landscape.
