MR D.I.Y. Hosts Alif Satar
Kuala Lumpur, April 1: MR D.I.Y. celebrated Ramadan with nearly 300 fans at a ‘Meet and Greet’ with Alif Satar and his band, The Locos, at the MR D.I.Y. PLUS Mid Valley Megamall.
The event, part of the ‘Raya Sama-Sama’ initiative, concluded with a ‘Buka Puasa’ at The Gardens Hotel. Alex Goh, MR D.I.Y. Group Head of Marketing, praised the event for embodying togetherness.
Alif Satar, appointed as the festive ambassador, will partake in upcoming events, highlighting over 100 Hari Raya essentials available at MR D.I.Y. stores with discounts up to 30 per cent.
Epson Champions LD Inclusion
Kuala Lumpur, April 2: Epson has teamed up with United Voice, a non-profit organization focused on the empowerment of individuals with learning disabilities (LD), to host a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) event in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, underscoring the technology provider’s dedication to diversity and inclusion.
The event, which occurred on March 16, 2024, at Wangsa Bowl, One Utama, brought together Epson employees and members of the LD community for a bowling session, aiming to enhance mutual understanding and support within the community.
Tomohito Morikawa, Managing Director of Epson Malaysia, emphasized the initiative’s alignment with Epson’s community support goals, while Wendy Yeong of United Voice highlighted the importance of such interactions for fostering inclusion and breaking down societal barriers.
This collaboration not only supports Epson’s commitment to social inclusion but also contributes to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 8, advocating for decent work and economic growth through inclusive and sustainable efforts.
