Qualcomm Unveils Snapdragon 7+

San Diego, March 21: Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., today announced the launch of the Snapdragon® 7+ Gen 3 Mobile Platform, marking a significant leap forward in on-device generative AI for the Snapdragon 7 series.
This latest innovation introduces a 15 per cent increase in CPU performance and a 45 per cent enhancement in GPU capabilities, alongside the series’ first support for Wi-Fi 7 with HBS (High Band Simultaneous) Multi-Link, offering unparalleled connectivity options.
The Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 is designed to power a new era of mobile entertainment, equipped with features such as Game Post Processing Accelerator and Adreno Frame Motion Engine 2, drawn from the Snapdragon Elite Gaming™ suite.
These enhancements aim to deliver desktop-level gaming visuals directly on mobile devices. Additionally, the platform boasts an 18-bit cognitive ISP for superior photography experiences.
Chris Patrick, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Mobile Handsets at Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., highlighted the platform’s introduction of next-generation technologies and its role in enhancing consumer entertainment.
He emphasized the inclusion of on-device generative AI features and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity as key innovations.
Among the first to adopt this cutting-edge technology will be leading smartphone brands including OnePlus, realme, and SHARP. Louis Li, President of OnePlus China, expressed enthusiasm for the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3, anticipating the delivery of advanced device intelligence, gaming, and photography to OnePlus customers.
The Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3’s arrival is eagerly awaited in the market, with the first commercial devices expected to be announced in the upcoming months, signaling a new benchmark in mobile technology capabilities.
