British Airways Toasts 10 Years of Austin-London Flights

London, March 4: Celebrating a decade of direct flights from Austin to London, British Airways marked the occasion on March 3, with a series of festivities at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.
Highlighting the anniversary, a First Officer named Austin piloted the special flight BA191, enhancing the connection between the city and the airline.
To commemorate, British Airways partnered with Franklin Barbecue to offer limited edition BBQ sauce for premium passengers throughout March.
Additionally, the airline introduced a Texas-inspired barbecue menu on board, celebrating the culinary heritage of Austin.
Since launching the route on March 3, 2014, British Airways has transported over 1.25 million passengers, using the Airbus A350 to support the growing demand.

BA Expands with New Kuala Lumpur Route

London, March 5: British Airways announced its £7bn transformation plan, including the launch of new routes to Kuala Lumpur in November as part of its commitment to expand its network post-pandemic. This strategic move is among 600+ initiatives aimed at modernizing every aspect of the airline, from customer experience enhancements with a new website and mobile app to operational improvements and a focus on sustainability.
Chairman and CEO Sean Doyle highlighted the airline’s journey towards operational excellence and environmental responsibility. The plan includes significant investments in technology, such as AI and machine learning, to ensure on-time departures and streamline operations. British Airways is also creating 350 new roles at Heathrow, investing in new equipment, and transitioning 700 systems to the cloud.
In addition to the Kuala Lumpur service, British Airways will reintroduce flights to Bangkok and expand its lounge spaces globally, including a new lounge in Dubai.
