Doha, Feb 24: In a significant move to expand Qatar’s luxury hospitality offerings, Qatar Airways Group, in collaboration with Our Habitas, has unveiled a new luxury resort, “Our Habitas Ras Abrouq,” situated along the pristine West Coast of Qatar, adjacent to the Al Reem UNESCO-Designated Biosphere Reserve. Approximately an hour’s drive from Hamad International Airport in Doha, this resort is set to redefine luxury travel with its untouched Arabian Gulf vistas, enchanting golden sunsets, and a rich blend of cultural, artistic, wellness, and adventure experiences.

The grand opening ceremony, graced by Her Excellency Sheikha Al-Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, along with an array of VIP guests, media, and creatives, marked the official launch of this exceptional hospitality venture. The resort promises a distinctive experience that blends the natural beauty of the Qatari desert with unparalleled hospitality.
“Our Habitas Ras Abrouq is a stunning destination that showcases the unique beauty of the Qatari desert. This venture allows travelers from our global network to experience Doha in an entirely new way,” stated Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Airways Group.

The partnership with Our Habitas aims to revolutionize travel by offering innovative and unique experiences to visitors.
Echoing this sentiment, Oliver Ripley, co-founder and CEO of Our Habitas, emphasized the changing travel preferences towards more meaningful connections with culture, nature, and communities.
“This resort is a gateway for global travelers to explore the rich Qatari culture and the unique landscape where the desert meets the sea, within a UNESCO biosphere,” Ripley added.

The resort features luxurious villas ranging from one to four bedrooms, each boasting private pools and spacious outdoor decks with sweeping views of the Arabian Gulf.
The property is also in close proximity to the East-West/West-East sculpture by internationally renowned artist Richard Serra, further enriching the cultural experience.
Amenities at the resort include an on-site restaurant, Qissa, a terrace lounge, beach club, wellness centre, a cutting-edge gym, water sports adventure hub, an infinity swimming pool, and padel tennis courts.

Guests can immerse themselves in a variety of workshops and activities, from pottery and sunrise yoga to water sports and desert survival training, offering a blend of relaxation and adventure.
“Our Habitas Ras Abrouq” is the latest addition to the portfolio of Dhiafatina, the hospitality arm of the Qatar Airways Group, which includes several local and international hotel properties and spas.
This launch follows the opening of Fuwairit Kite Beach, signaling Qatar Airways’ continued commitment to enhancing its hospitality offerings in line with its global strategy.
