Walk Dogs, Fight Cancer
Sydney, Jan 8: This February 2024, dog owners have a unique opportunity to support breast cancer research. Breast Cancer Trials, a leading oncology research group in Australia and New Zealand, is hosting a special challenge for dog lovers: walking 57 kilometers over the month with their furry companions. This distance symbolizes the daily breast cancer diagnoses in Australia, making each step a tribute to those battling the disease.
Participating in this ‘pawsome’ challenge not only helps shed any extra holiday weight for both owners and dogs but also contributes to vital breast cancer research. Since 1978, Breast Cancer Trials has been pivotal in developing treatments like Herceptin and Tamoxifen, which have saved countless lives worldwide.
Registrants for this event will receive a complimentary t-shirt and a dog bandana, ensuring they tackle their walks in style. Beyond fundraising, the challenge promotes health benefits for both humans and dogs, including improved fitness and decreased stress.

Watsons Bay Market Fest
Sydney, Jan 16: Sydney’s beloved annual Watsons Bay Summer Market, organized by Cambridge Markets, is set to make a grand return on Sunday, January 4th, from 10 am to 4 pm. Celebrating its 7th year, this significant event, anticipated to attract over 10,000 visitors, will take place at Robertson Park, showcasing over 150 diverse stallholders along the Sydney harbour foreshore.
