Adelaide, Dec 7: Tasting Australia, the country’s enduring culinary festival, is set to make a grand return in 2024 with a delectable lineup of over 150 events across South Australia.
From May 3 to May 12, Tasting Australia, presented by RAA Travel, promises a feast for the senses, featuring a revamped Town Square, exclusive Tasting Australia Airlines trips, and a diverse drinks program offering unique tastings.
Notably, the festival will introduce a groundbreaking Tasting Australia Airlines experience, flying visitors directly from Melbourne to Naracoorte.
Another highlight is the collaboration with Journey Beyond for Tasting Australia by Train, providing a curated 10-hour day trip from Melbourne to Adelaide onboard The Ghan’s dining and bar carriages.
Internationally acclaimed chefs, including Asma Khan (UK), Claudette Zepeda (US), and James Henry (France), will join a stellar lineup of national and local culinary talents, including Matt Moran, Julia Busuttil Nishimura, Justin James, and Jake Kellie.
For the first time, the festival will showcase Dining Galleries in Town Square, blending restaurant experiences with art showcases.
These unique galleries, adorned with works by South Australian artists, will host diverse events, from festive celebrations to intimate dinners.
Immersive events such as a sailing adventure along the Kangaroo Island coastline, a collaboration dinner featuring renowned chefs, and a foraging experience in Coorong National Park will be part of the program.
Additionally, Tasting Australia Airlines will offer flights to the Eyre Peninsula and Limestone Coast, allowing attendees to explore these regions alongside leading chefs.
The festival’s Director, Karena Armstrong, expresses excitement about the 2024 event, emphasizing a focus on fun and creating lasting memories for attendees.
The festival’s hub, Town Square, will return to Victoria Square/Tarntanyangga with free entry, new food vendors, and bars to explore.
