Marvel Exhibition Hits NZ

Wellington, Dec 1: Marvel fans in New Zealand are in for a treat as the Marvel: Earth’s Mightiest Exhibition is set to arrive in Wellington this December. Running from December 14, 2023, to April 28, 2024, this immersive exhibition spans 85 years of superheroes and villains in the Marvel Universe.
Warrick Dent, General Manager for Events and Experiences at WellingtonNZ, expressed excitement about hosting this event in the city, known for its contribution to the film industry and blockbuster movies.
The exhibition promises to take visitors on an epic journey through Marvel’s history, from the streets of New York City to outer space. It features rare artifacts, original comic art, film props, costumes, immersive designs, and exclusive memorabilia, providing fans with a close encounter with iconic Marvel heroes, films, and comics.
This event follows the success of the Jurassic World exhibition in Wellington, and Mayor Tory Whanau is looking forward to the economic boost it will bring to the local economy through increased retail and hospitality activity.
Ticket prices start at $17.50 for children, $29.50 for concessions, and $34.50 for adults in New Zealand dollars. A special VIP Assembly Preview Party will be held on Dec 12, with only 300 tickets available.
General admission opens on Dec 14 and continues until April 28, 2024.

Inclusive Concert Celebrates Disability
Sydney, Dec 1: On the International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD), a special FREE concert featuring top Australian artists, both with and without disabilities, will take place at ICC Sydney from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm (AEDT) on Sunday, December 3, 2023.
“Elevate the Stage” promises to be a beacon of unity, acceptance, and diversity, showcasing exceptional talent on an occasion observed by the United Nations since 1992.
The impressive lineup of performers includes renowned figures like Paulini Curuenavuli, opera sensation Tim McCallum, Peter Cousens, Mick on Wheels, rock guitarist Rex Goh, instrumentalists Lara Nakhle and Connor Wink, jazz vocalist Emma Pask, comedians Tahir Bilgiç and Jamal Abdul, entertainer, and athlete Paul Nunnari, and more. The event will be hosted by journalist Nas Campanella and Paralympic gold medalist Kurt Fearnley AO.
Actress Paula Duncan AM, an event ambassador, emphasizes that Elevate the Stage is about breaking down barriers and fostering inclusive attitudes for all Australians.
The event is the brainchild of Fran Eustace and John Trevillian AM and aims to become the highlight of Australia’s annual IDPwD celebrations.
