Doha, Nov 14: The inaugural day of the Dubai Airshow 2023 saw Qatar Airways, the distinguished national carrier of the State of Qatar, unveil a dazzling display of its state-of-the-art aircraft, captivating the attention of global aviation enthusiasts.
The event, running from November 13 to 17, is a biennial gathering of industry leaders, professionals, and stakeholders from around the world.
Against the backdrop of the prestigious air show, Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer, Engr. Badr Al-Meer, was present to showcase the airline’s commitment to excellence.
The spotlight was on Qatar Airways’ new generation Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, Airbus A350-1000, and the Gulfstream G650ER, each contributing to the airline’s reputation for innovation and luxury.
Visitors to the Qatar Airways chalet on the opening day were treated to an up-close exploration of the cabins’ latest innovations and passenger offerings.
From the sleek, contemporary finishing of the cabin design to meticulously curated amenities kits, Qatar Airways showcased its signature blend of luxury and hospitality that awaits global passengers.
Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer expressed the airline’s pride in participating in the Dubai Airshow, stating, “With the comfort of our passengers at the core of our operations, we have hand-picked our top-tier aircraft which display our latest technology and unparalleled luxury. We welcome all visitors of this exciting air show to our chalet to enjoy an unforgettable travel experience.”
The Qatar Airways display included the Gulfstream G650ER from Qatar Executive, recognized for its spacious and luxurious cabin designed for ultra-long flights.
Qatar Executive boasts the world’s largest fleet of 15 Gulfstream G650ER aircraft.
Also featured was the Airbus A350-1000, distinguished by its wide-body cabin and luxurious interior, providing passengers with optimal comfort in the quietest cabin of any twin-aisle aircraft.
Qatar Airways currently operates 24 of these state-of-the-art aircraft.
The Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, with up to 22 seats in Business Class and 232 seats in Economy Class, was highlighted for its exceptional cabin environment, accessibility, and eco-friendly design, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by over 20 percent.
Qatar Airways utilizes 11 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners to connect passengers to more than 160 destinations.
Renowned as the Best Airline in the Middle East, Qatar Airways operates over 100 weekly flights to the UAE, with increased connectivity to Ras Al Khaimah and Dubai, totaling 28 weekly flights.
The airline also offers 35 weekly flights each to Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.
Dubai Airshow attendees can explore the Qatar Airways exhibition at Chalet A07-A08 from Nov 13 to 17 at the Dubai World Central.
