Kuala Lumpur, Nov 10: In a strategic move aimed at providing greater flexibility and convenience to its customers, FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX), has announced an extension of the call-in cut-off time for shipments originating from the Klang Valley, solidifying its position as one of the world’s largest express transportation companies.
The newly extended call-in cut-off time grants customers an additional hour to prepare their shipments. For users of FedEx International Economy® (IE) services sending packages to Asia, Middle East, Africa (AMEA), and Europe, the revised cut-off time is now 5:00 pm. Meanwhile, for shipments from Malaysia to global destinations using FedEx International Economy® Freight (IEF), the updated call-in cut-off time is 4:00 pm.
Tien Long Woon, the Managing Director of FedEx Express Malaysia, emphasized the significance of such service enhancements in boosting the competitiveness of their customers in the global marketplace. He stated, “As a major economic hub in Malaysia, the Klang Valley is home to various key industries, including manufacturing, services, and finance, and this is where we see more diverse shipping needs. We are committed to providing reliable and time-definite services that support the growth of local businesses in the country.”
This move aligns with FedEx’s dedication to innovation, not only in its services but also in the digital solutions it offers to adapt to the ever-evolving business landscape.
In September, FedEx introduced enhancements to FedEx Ship Manager™ (FSM), streamlining the process for business and e-commerce merchants to create shipments and paperwork from their online orders in just a few simple steps.
Additionally, customers now have an added option for reliable and affordable services for non-urgent shipments through FedEx International Economy® (IE).
With a focus on meeting the dynamic needs of its customers and facilitating seamless global trade, FedEx Express continues to evolve its services and digital solutions, supporting businesses in the Klang Valley and beyond.
