CREST Gains Key Supporters

Sydney, Nov 9: In a significant move towards strengthening global cybersecurity, CREST, the international non-profit organization representing the cybersecurity industry, has unveiled its first-ever group of Community Supporters.
Launched in July, the CREST Community Supporter initiative has garnered the backing of organizations that share a common goal of elevating industry standards while actively supporting CREST’s mission to promote capacity, collaboration, consistency, and capability in the world of cybersecurity.
Nick Benson, CEO of CREST, expressed his enthusiasm for this milestone, emphasizing the critical role of collaboration in addressing the dynamic challenges of cybersecurity.
“Establishing relationships and formalizing them through our supporter initiative is pivotal to our mission. Each of these distinguished organizations will play a crucial role in advancing our vision of a globally resilient cybersecurity industry.”
The nine organizations that have pledged their support for the CREST Community Supporter initiative are:

Center for Internet Security (CIS): A renowned community-driven non-profit organization responsible for globally recognized best practices, including the CIS Controls and CIS Benchmarks, for safeguarding IT systems and data.

Cloud Security Alliance: A global non-profit entity dedicated to defining and advocating best practices for a secure cloud computing environment.

Cyber Threat Alliance (CTA): A non-profit organization committed to enhancing global cybersecurity by enabling real-time, high-quality sharing of cyber threat information.

Global Anti Scam Alliance (GASA): An organization devoted to protecting consumers worldwide from scams through awareness, tools, and knowledge sharing.

Global Cyber Alliance: An international non-profit organization with a mission to eliminate cyber risks and enhance the security of our interconnected world.

Global Resilience Federation: A non-profit organization facilitating the creation and operation of threat information-sharing communities, serving as a central hub for intelligence exchange among Information Sharing and Analysis Centers (ISACs), Information Sharing and Analysis Organizations (ISAOs), and Computer Emergency Readiness/Response Teams (CERTs).

ISC2: A globally prominent membership organization for cybersecurity professionals with a vision of a safe and secure cyber world.

Stott & May Consulting: Specialists in technology and neurodiversity consulting services, currently partnering with CREST on an innovative neurodiversity training program.

The Security Institute: Founded in 1999, this organization strives to promote the highest standards of integrity and professional competence within the security industry.

The CREST Community Supporter initiative aims to foster collaboration with organizations and entities that share CREST’s core values and are dedicated to raising cybersecurity standards worldwide.
The paid program offers three supporter levels – Silver, Gold, and Platinum – each featuring a wide range of benefits, including enhanced collaboration with CREST, promotional support, event discounts, CREST exam vouchers, and more.
