Taipei, Oct 24: Gogoro Inc., a global leader in battery-swapping ecosystems for sustainable urban mobility, has unveiled the Gogoro CrossOver Smartscooter, dubbed the first two-wheel SUV.
The CrossOver boasts customizability, adaptability, and enhanced performance and is set to launch in Taiwan this quarter, featuring two models: CrossOver and CrossOver S.
Horace Luke, CEO of Gogoro, expressed that CrossOver aligns with their brand’s core values, focusing on innovation, functional design, and adaptability.
The scooter features an all-terrain frame designed for strength and stability, with a ground clearance of 14.2 centimeters, the highest in Gogoro’s vehicle lineup.
The CrossOver offers flexible cargo capacity, accommodating various storage needs with four cargo areas and an expansion system featuring 26 locking points.
The vehicle’s design allows the rear seat to be flipped up or removed to provide additional storage space.
Gogoro also offers new accessories like side faceplate racks, off-road front racks, and lightweight aluminum front baskets.
Performance-wise, the CrossOver is equipped with a powerful G2.2 aluminum alloy water-cooled permanent magnet synchronous motor delivering 7.6 kW.
It also features a FLO DRIVE™ belt drive system for a smooth riding experience and a Synchronized Braking System (SBS) with front and rear disc brakes for improved braking stability.
Smart features are a significant aspect of the CrossOver series, which is powered by the new 6.8 iQ System®.
This system allows for the addition of various smart functions through Gogoro’s Mobile App, including 24-hour active message notifications, vehicle condition monitoring, and vehicle location tracking.
The CrossOver S variant comes with Gogoro’s new Traction Control System (TCS) and an optional cruise control mode.
To cater to riders’ tastes, Gogoro introduces the Gogoro Bespoke Club for Smartscooter customization services, offering over 100 color combinations to create a unique and personalized ride.
The CrossOver will be available in two color combinations, Desert White or Night Storm Grey, while the CrossOver S will be offered in four color combinations: Myst Red, Summit Yellow, Desert White, or Night Storm Grey.
