Kuala Lumpur, Oct 2: Prime Video has announced its inaugural Amazon Original series from Malaysia, “That Cover Girl,” set to debut exclusively in Malaysia and over 240 territories worldwide on October 19th. This highly anticipated series will release every episode on its launch day.
“That Cover Girl” follows the journey of Sofi Safwan (played by Siti Saleha), a prominent figure in the fashion industry, who manages a vast empire while receiving unwavering support from her loving husband. However, her business ventures are marred by scandalous incidents and a hostile work environment. Despite these challenges, Sofi remains steadfast in her quest to resolve both her marital and business issues, even as new complications arise along the way.
Produced by Creative Stew, the series features a stellar cast of Malaysian actors, including Siti Saleha, Hisyam Hamid, Alicia Amin, and Aiman Hakim.
David Simonsen, Director of Prime Video, Southeast Asia, expressed excitement about showcasing Malaysian content to a global audience.

The creator and series director, Abid Hussain, who has produced content for both local and international broadcasters, shared his pride in having “That Cover Girl” as Prime Video’s first Amazon Original series from Malaysia.

“That Cover Girl” joins Prime Video’s extensive catalog, which includes series, movies, and shows like “Imaginur,” “Juang,” “Tebus,” “Coast Guard Malaysia: Ops Helang,” as well as Korean titles and popular Amazon Originals like “Citadel,” “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power,” “The Boys,” “Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan,” “Fleabag,” and “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.” Prime Video members can enjoy this content on a wide range of compatible devices.
