Over the course of four weeks, the series takes viewers on a global journey, spanning Austria, Mexico, Greece, France, Germany, Italy, the UK, and The Netherlands.
Season Four kicks off with an explosive premiere that breaks from the series’ usual format by focusing on one rather than two intertwining stories. This deviation is due to the epic nature of the revelations to be unveiled.

Along the way, they uncover evidence of their mother’s dark past, including membership in a far-right political party, Nazi connections, hidden marriages, and the revelation that they are heirs to a substantial inheritance.
The season continues to deliver shocking revelations, as two Melbourne women investigate baby swaps and baby theft. Dr. Sofia Rios Miranda explores a family rumor that her great-grandparents stole a British baby and changed his identity to ensure he stayed with them.
Meanwhile, a DNA test turns adoptee Dr. Penny Mackieson’s life upside down when she discovers her Greek heritage and that she spent twenty years reunited with the wrong birth mother.
