Kuala Lumpur, Aug 9: Young talents Paul San and Ervin Chang will face off against Malaysia’s top professional Gavin Green in what promises to be an exhilarating final round of the Corolla Cup at the Palm Garden Golf Club tomorrow.
Paul and Gavin are tied for the lead at 11-under 133, following impressive second rounds of 7-under 65 and 6-under 66, respectively.
Paul delivered a flawless performance with seven birdies, while Gavin’s only hiccup was a bogey on the par three 14th hole.
Ervin stands at 9-under 135 after a solid two-under 70 round.

Aretha Pan.

Overnight leader Khor Kheng Hwai trails with two bogeys and two birdies on his card. Kenneth De Silva and Nicholas Fung are joint fifth at 7-under 137.
In the Ladies’ challenge, Aretha Pan surged to the top with an even par round of 72, taking advantage of overnight leader Liyana Durisic’s struggles with a three-over 75 score that included four bogeys in a row from the 11th to the 14th hole.
Aretha now leads by one stroke at two-under 142, with Dianne Luke in third, trailing by two strokes.
The Corolla Cross Cup, part of the Toyota Tour presented by UMW Toyota Motor and managed by Professional Golf Malaysia and MST Golf Group Berhad, is currently underway.
The men’s purse totals RM180,000, with the winner receiving RM31,500.
The ladies’ champion will be awarded RM10,000 from a pool of RM30,000.
Gavin expressed contentment with his game, despite believing he could have achieved a lower score.
He noted the high standards of the DP World Tour and his determination to improve.
Paul, Ervin, and Gavin will tee-off together at 9am from the first teebox, with Khor, De Silva, and Nicholas preceding them.
