Petaling Jaya, July 3: Signify, formerly Philips Lighting, has unveiled a comprehensive lineup of energy-efficient and sustainable lighting products for the Malaysian market. The product launch event, titled “Let’s Go Eco with Philips Sustainable Lighting,” showcased innovative solutions including the Philips Ultra Efficient LED, Philips Solar Lighting, and WiZ Smart Lighting. These offerings aim to enable consumers to adopt eco-friendly practices, reduce energy consumption, and lower costs.
The Philips Ultra Efficient LED range, consisting of LED bulbs, tubes, and downlights, consumes 60 percent less energy than standard LED products while providing over 50,000 hours of light. This energy-saving innovation comes at a critical time when global energy costs and concerns are prevalent.
In addition to energy-efficient solutions, Signify highlighted the Philips Solar Lighting range, featuring various solar-powered products such as flood lights, wall lights, and garden lighting. These aesthetically pleasing solar lights harness the sun’s energy to provide illumination during evening hours, eliminating the need for electricity and reducing electricity bills to zero.
The showcased lighting innovations also prioritize consumer well-being. The Meson Interlaced Optics LED Downlight reduces glare by 40 percent, enhancing eye comfort during extended study or work sessions. Moreover, safety features like the Double Ended LEDtube’s end cap safety lock ensure safer installations and compliance with IEC standards.
Furthermore, Signify expanded its WiZ Smart Lighting range, offering smart lighting products that can be controlled through home Wi-Fi signals. The range now includes outdoor smart lighting options and introduces SpaceSense, an innovative motion-sensing technology that eliminates the need for additional sensors and batteries.
Signify also unveiled a range of design and technology innovations, such as the Philips HexaStyle Downlights and the Philips Magnetic Track Light, allowing consumers to create personalized lighting designs at home. The scene switch and CCT select light fixtures provide the flexibility to adjust the color and ambiance of the light fitting according to different activities or moods.
Sukanto Aich, CEO of Signify Malaysia, emphasized sustainability as a key focus and highlighted the company’s carbon-neutral status and alignment with UN sustainability goals. He expressed the company’s commitment to providing accessible and impactful lighting solutions that contribute to a brighter and sustainable future.
The new range of lighting products will be available through authorized Philips retailers and online platforms, including Lazada and Shopee, enabling consumers across Malaysia to embrace sustainable living.
