NFT adoption is set to climb in Malaysia, with an additional 10.5 percent of internet users planning to own NFTs in the future.
That means the adoption rate will hit 34.4 percent and that’s a conservative forecast.
It’s still very early days for NFTs in Malaysia, 44 per cent of Malaysian internet users currently know what NFTs are and we expect adoption to grow with awareness.
Men are currently the biggest adopters, with 26 per cent saying they own NFTs compared to 21.6 per cent of women.

The report also reveals that the Philippines has the most NFT owners (32 per cent), followed by Thailand (27 per cent), Malaysia (24 per cent), the UAE (23 per cent) and Vietnam (17 per cent).
Japan has the smallest percentage of people with NFTs (two per cent), followed by the UK and the US at three per cent each.
NFT adoption is much higher in countries that have a lower average wage of working citizens.
In some of these countries people are quitting their jobs because they can make money trading NFTs or earning them in games.
If you want to buy NFTs directly then you’ll need to set up a wallet, purchase cryptocurrency, and choose an NFT marketplace.
