NuMee’s Noble Move

Kuala Lumpur, Nov 19:  Popular local yellow noodle brand NuMee by Gardenia has launched an online Malaysian food directory to make it easier for Malaysians to discover and support local restaurants and hawker stalls, especially those who serve yellow noodle dishes.
The directory is available at and strives to list more than 100 eateries from across Peninsular Malaysia, bringing Malaysian food and beverage (F&B) outlets closer to the dining tables of Malaysians.
“We are calling all Malaysians to support local F&B vendors to ensure they will survive the pandemic and keep our local F&B heritage alive.
“Malaysia is well-known for its melting pot of cuisines and it is a driver of our culture, economy and social fabric,” Ena Suhaila Abas, Marketing Manager of Gardenia Bakeries (KL) Sdn Bhd said.

It launches with an initial 50 listings and will be updated frequently to capture as many F&B outlets as possible, especially those whose specialty are yellow noodle dishes.

The initiative hopes to help rejuvenate the F&B industry which took a massive economic hit during the lockdown and movement restrictions at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

As part of the campaign, NuMee has also created a mobile game, Find Mee that will allow the public to participate in the campaign and donate a delicious and wholesome NuMee meal to the underprivileged.
Engage in the fun and easy game created by NuMee on its website to collect five badges, choose a favourite stall from the listing, and make a  contribution.
Throughout the campaign period, NuMee will announce where and when these meals will be distributed.
