Samsung Audio Refresh

Samsung Australia has unveiled its 2026 home audio range, led by the new Music Studio 7 and Music Studio 5 Wi-Fi speakers, refreshed Sound Tower models and an expanded Q-Series soundbar line-up, as it looks to blend premium sound with design-led appeal for Australian homes. The company said the range builds on its position as the world’s number one soundbar brand for 12 consecutive years.
“Samsung has been at the forefront of how Australians experience sound at home for over a decade. This leadership comes from combining deep audio expertise with a strong understanding of how listening habits have evolved; from immersive TV experiences to streaming music and podcasts. In 2026, we’re building on that foundation with audio that delivers premium performance while adapting seamlessly to everyday life and personal style,” said Simon Howe, Director – Visual Display and Brand Memory, Samsung Australia.
The new Music Studio 7 and Music Studio 5 speakers feature a minimalist “Dot Design” by Erwan Bouroullec and are aimed at music, podcast and TV listening, with AI-powered features including Dynamic Bass Control, SpaceFit Sound Pro and Active Voice Amplifier Pro. Samsung said the speakers also support up to five compatible sound devices through Q-Symphony in 2026, as well as Spotify Tap, Stereo Play and Group Play. The Music Studio 7 is priced at $749 and the Music Studio 5 at $499.
“Something very contemporary, like consumer electronics, can quickly become outdated if designed in a style that doesn’t endure. When the style is wrong, even the ergonomics can feel compromised, and the object becomes its own limitation,” said Mr. Bourourllec. “In a very conscious way, I tried to root the design of the Music Studio models in what I consider the ethos of a speaker: a cone with a point in the middle.”
Samsung’s 2026 Q-Series soundbar range is headed by the flagship HW-Q990H with true 11.1.4 channel sound, alongside the HW-Q930H, HW-Q800H and HW-Q600H. New features across the range include Samsung Sound Elevation and Auto Volume, while local recommended retail prices run from $899 to $1,999 depending on model.

Adobe Debuts AI Assistant

Adobe unveils Firefly AI Assistant alongside new video and image editing capabilities

Adobe has unveiled Firefly AI Assistant, a new AI-powered creative agent that brings multiple Creative Cloud tools into a single conversational interface, marking a shift toward “agentic” creativity.
The assistant allows users to describe desired outcomes in natural language, with AI orchestrating multi-step workflows across apps including Photoshop, Premiere, Illustrator and Lightroom.
Adobe said this reduces the need to manually navigate complex tools and processes.
“Adobe is leading the shift into a new era of agentic creativity, where you direct how your work takes shape and your perspective, voice and taste become the most powerful creative instruments of all,” said David Wadhwani, President, Creativity & Productivity Business, Adobe.
“Adobe Firefly is a category of one, with the best models, the most powerful tools and now, a fundamentally new way of creating that gives you the combined power and precision of all our creative apps in one place.”
Adobe also expanded Firefly’s capabilities with new video and image editing features, including advanced audio, colour controls and precision tools, alongside access to more than 30 AI models.
The Firefly AI Assistant is expected to enter public beta in the coming weeks.
