Acrobat Gets AI

Perth, Jan 22: Adobe has rolled out new AI-powered features across Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Express aimed at helping users turn documents into presentations and podcast-style summaries faster, while also making PDF editing more conversational.
A new Generate presentation feature in Acrobat lets users ask AI to create an outline from their files, choose presentation length and tone, then generate a designed slide deck using Adobe Express templates. Users can edit slides directly with Express tools—swapping images, adding video, rewriting copy, changing fonts, and applying brand kits—without needing to regenerate the deck.

Adobe also introduced chat-based PDF editing in Acrobat, allowing users to complete tasks via natural-language prompts, including removing pages or content, finding and replacing text, adding e-signatures, and setting passwords. An updated Help Panel offers step-by-step support through chat.
Another feature, Generate podcast, creates an “engaging podcast-style summary” from notes, transcripts, and long reports inside PDF Spaces, enabling hands-free meeting prep or personal learning on the go.
These tools sit within Acrobat Studio, which combines PDF tools, AI Assistants, smart workspaces, and content creation features for use cases spanning sales, marketing, legal work, students, and families.
