Kuala Lumpur, May 11: Minetech Resources Berhad (“Minetech” or the “Company”), a civil engineering specialist and bituminous products manufacturer, today announced that the Company’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Minetech Construction Sdn Bhd (“Minetech Construction”), has been awarded a roadworks and drainage project valued at RM2.56 million by Aspect Synergy Sdn Bhd (“Aspect”).
Aspect is a wholly-owned subsidiary of OSK Property Holdings Berhad, a property developer with projects across Peninsular Malaysia. Minetech Construction is the civil engineering and construction business of Minetech specialising in infrastructure and building construction works.
The project, to commence on 9 May 2023, will have a duration of four months. The project is part of Phase 3 of Taman Iringan Bayu located in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan.
“The award of this project to Minetech Construction adds to the support that the civil engineering division brings to the rest of Minetech as this project will also utilise assets under the bituminous products division, which is the other main contributor to revenue, ”Matt Chin, Executive Director of Minetech said.
“We remain cautiously optimistic of the outlook and will continue to seek projects that can utilise the assets of our main contributing divisions while at the same time focus on building up our new ventures in financial technology and renewable energy that have long-term growth and can provide recurring income.”
