Sydney, April 5: In New Zealand an average of five out of six children will live with their mothers after a divorce.
This means women suffer financially more than men after a break-up due to many factors such as unequal wages, lower earning capacity and as a result of that many women tend to have lesser money saved.
Realising the gravity of the problem, Auckland-based Equal Exes founder Bridgette Jackson teamed-up with financial advice firm Cambridge Partners and devised a programme that’s core focus is to raise the financial well-being of women who have been divorced and are financially in a bad spot.
The goal of the program is to equip women of any life stage, with the knowledge, tools and support to set them on a path towards financial capability after a nasty divorce.
This financial programme uses plain English, with all jargon removed, to equip these women with the best way on how they should move forward with their lives after a split.
